Dare to go where you have not!

2011 has been more than amazing to me! And it is all because at the beginning of this year I decided that I am going to stretch my faith so much that in all that I do, the challenge should be great enough that at the end, I will have grown from it!

As 2012 draws close, my wish is that you may expand your territory! Go where you have not! I'm certain you've heard or seen this somewhere: TO GET WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE, YOU HAVE TO DO WHAT YOU HAVEN'T DONE!

How simple... How true!

I bet you everyone is hoping for a better 2012, bigger salary, better house, nicer car... All of that!

But how many of us actually will materialise our goals?

It is really very simple, success is a matter of identifying what you want as a goal, decide what you are willing to sacrifice to get to the goal and DOING IT!

May you have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed new year ahead!

With love,

The Supersuccess Team.

Personal responsibility towards the dream

I have observed that a common characteristic of successful individuals is the strong sense of ownership they posses regarding their goals and dreams. They refuse blaming someone else for the consequences of their actions. They understand the old business principle "GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT'.

I observe, in  the same breath, that those of us who never get to our dreams and goals have this common characteristic: OUR DREAMS AND GOALS ARE 'NICE TO HAVE' as opposed to 'MUST WORK TOWARDS'.

As long as your goals and dreams are not a burning fire within you that compells you to act toward them, then one finds themselves always victim to circumstance! We need thus to appreciate the value of this statement "our future is not liberated from our current actions".

What you`re busy with right now, yes this very moment, is directly influencing where you will be at this time tomorrow! Why then do so many of us choose to point fingers at something external when things don`t work out?

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY...

I love this statement once uttered by Jesus the Christ "and by their fruits you will know them"

I look at this stament this way:

MY THOUGHTS: SEEDS
MY MIND: THE SOIL
MY HABITS: THE TREE
MY CHARACTER: THE FRUITS

What I produce in all areas of my life begins with the quality of my thoughts. Eventually building up my character which directly dictates my fruits! So when I take personal responsibility I stop entertaining thoughts (seeds) that are not going to contribute to the character of the successful man I want to be!

A follow up article will be up soon!

And remember, when you find out nobody believes in your dream, don`t be worried, ITS YOURS ANYWAY!

Phenomenal, Driven, Going Places Fast! Meet Adoword!

She is a motivational speaker, television presenter, friend to the Supersuccess family! This here is the epitomy of young and gifted! Having her as a friend in my life has been more than a blessing! When you hear this phrase "where there`s a wheel, there`s a way..." you know that the indestructible Adoword is in the building!

She took some time out to discuss some of her heart`s fondest thoughts, and this is a Supersuccess exclusive:

Q:   Where were you born?

I’m a young Zulu lady who was born in Venda, Tshilidzini hospital to be exact. No my parents weren’t on vacation, my mama is Venda and daddy Zulu, infact when people ask what nationality I am, I always confidently respond “ZuVe” or”VeZu” you choose.

Q:   Where did you go to school?

I moved a lot when I was younger, so I did my primary school in Zakarriyya What did you want to be when you were little?

Iyoh, I changed from chemical scientist to actuaries to a point where I had no idea, then I found myself studying law, and now… lol well here I am, in a career I would have least expected. But I realized that I’ve been working towards it all my life even though I didn’t realize it.
Q:  What did you want to be when you were little?

Iyoh, I changed from chemical scientist to actuaries to a point where I had no idea, then I found myself studying law, and now… lol well here I am, in a career I would have least expected. But I realized that I’ve been working towards it all my life even though I didn’t realize it.

Q: Tell us about your family while growing up (parents, siblings etc)

I was the only child for a very long time; my cousins were my siblings especially since I spent some years living with my gran in Limpopo. Then I just had to ask God for a little sister and BOOM, 11yrs after me, my little sister was born, then three yrs later my other sister was born. We have such a huge age gap, that they make me feel like a young mother. I love my babies so much. My parents, WOW, I believe I’ve got the wisest parents alive, more than anything I wish to adopt their effective good decision making skills.

Q:  Are you musical? What is your favourite music?

Oh my I just love good music, I’m not picky when it comes to genres, but I must say my ultimate fav would be fusion, soul, jazz, gospel, soft rock hip hop lol ok ok I think iv named a little too much now.
Q:  Who is your inspiration and why?

Gees, I’m inspired by way to many ppl and all for different reasons. But I can be specific in these two: firstly all the spiritual leaders in my life, because of how they value souls, people and life, and how they have become so selfless and have surrendered theE4$R@=EQ@p.m!PMI=lP
v$o"goal is to be just like Him.

Q:  On a lighter note, who are your favourite actors and actresses?

Definately Anthony Hopkins, then locally I love Katlego Danke and Brenda Ngxoli, and I could not forget Amanda Khumalo, she specialized in theatre work but I think she is the MOST TALENTED ACTRESS in the world.

Q: What do you do in your leisure time?

Sho do I even have leisure time lol kidding, I enjoy poetry so reading writing or watching poets would do. I am also a growing reader, I wasn’t a fan of reading but now, I have discovered the secret of reading! Then music and movies and chilling with loved and watching House, NCIS or any of the CSI series, Monk, and if I remember to catch it any show that displays and celebrates talent such as America’s Best Dance Crew, SA got talent, One Day Leader, Idols and the likes.

Q:  You seem like a grounded individual, what do know is ‘for sure’ in life?

GOD! Period! All may waver, nothing may be is certain, BUT GOD was and is, and will always be. PERIOD!

Q:  If you were granted three wishes what would they be?

To have finished school a long time ago hahaha. To have a wheelchair friendly world, wow that wouldn’t be far from heaven I tell you.  To be the great influence/ inspiration that I know I can be at this very moment!

Q:  Tell us about your motivational speaking and the  Project Black Pride.

Well, growing as a speaker means me being able to reach out to more people pushing them to realize their God given abilities and to transform lives. Black Pride is about developing the society or communities around us by dealing with certain social ills. So all in all my projects are about injecting a positive energy into the people of this country and generating a more effective lifestyle for the individual.

Q:  Now we never let our guests go without asking them this question, how would you define Supersuccess and do you think you have achieved it?

Supersuccess is a journey, where one is excellently living, learning, growing and enjoying the everyday/life; and working towards leaving a legacy on earth. Supersuccess is having identified ones purpose and living in it. I believe I have achieved it, if not; I’m just a step away.

Happy birthday Number One Maestro!

He is the brains behind Supersuccess networks, a force to be reckoned with in transformational speaking... And he is celebrating his birthday along with all the phenomenal women of the land! Here are a few thoughts from the man himself:

Q: You have achieved a lot in a short space of time, how has this impacted on your view on life?
Tumi: All that I have is entrusted to me by God. Not much has changed really, I have always been Supersuccess in my mind, I first had a taste of this concept in my grade 11 at high school and that's a while back!

Q: Your one secret to Supersuccess?
Tumi: Do you really wanna know? Hahaha... God, simple!!

Q: Tell us a little on your growing and how God was part of the picture?
Tumi: Oh man, how do I start? I'll start in Grade 8 (first year of high school) I was what we called the 'nzeni-boy' which loosely translates the boy who sells sweets! I was an entrepeneur already and didn't know it, grew up much quicker than my peers as I believed there just should be more to life beyond the borders of the Vaal! So God had already started preparing me then for what I'm doing now! Grew up knowing that 'I authi iya phanda' (a man seeks hard his resources) and that was what pushed a lot of my ventures! God always had a way of pushing me toward what would eventually grew me! I hated public speaking in high school, only joined in my matric year because seemingly the debate guys got more recognition and street cred! So tried it out and in the same year won my school 3 regional top places and won various other top speaker awards... See what I mean? God!

Q: And what's your wish for this special day?
Tumi: That my presence may be a blessing to another that's all!

Tumi's mother had a few words for this young man: "may you grow bigger my boy! You are now far ahead of most of the people you grew up around, just make sure that as you go further, you respect those at the ground! We'll love you and pray for you!"

Dude... What are you doing here?!

I am sitting at a restaurant in Johannesburg, the city buzzing with people 'chasing the dream' or the more popular 'chasing the stash' (that's money for those of you who are a little out of sync with city language! Haha..

This breakfast before I go to an afternoon live shoot of Matrics Uploaded turns into a rejuvenating and re-focusing meeting with myself. So, things are happening, more articles to write, more interviews, more talks to give, I'm in and out of town... Good! But dude, what are you doing here?!

What are you on earth to do? Why are you working in all these projects? Are you here to be another good guy who makes people feel good about themselves? Huh, what?

This was a searching question that gave me this insight: We are not here to merely 'make a living' but to ACTUALLY LIVE! We are not on earth to come accumulate as much money as we can then bounce! We are here to EXPERIENCE, if that were not so, all the natural wonders are in vain! We are here to inspire and become, not just being busy BUT becoming more of our destiny!

I found that while I was busy telling other people to 'GO FOR GOLD' I was not giving enough to me... Selfish? I prefer calling it self-full! If I do not have R100, I can't give you R100 when you ask for it from me. If I am not filling myself up, I have nothing to offer this world either than to recycle what's already here (And I'm not that type!)

So Tumi, become more, inspire more, give more!

Well, breakfast is over, my tummy is full, my spirit is full, off to shoot I go...

By the way,

Dude... What are you doing here?

Tools of the Supersuccessful

June in the Supersuccess ™ calendar focuses on enhancing our experience here on earth by focusing on those tools that are used by people who have amassed great success in life. I have studied these over the past two years and have compiled what I call " TOOLS OF THE SUPERSUCCESSFUL "

Your tools are the equipment you use to do certain jobs and they assist you in making the job a little easier, well that's exactly what we're going to be looking at in the next few weeks on all Supersuccess ™ Networks.

The first two I chose to divulge in are Meditation and visualisation. In this particular piece will be looking particularly at meditation.

Meditation's definition is : the process of zoning out of the physical to focus intensely on the still of the spirit.

I love that definition!'STILL OF THE SPIRIT'!!! The modern, 'go-get-it', hustle-hard lives we lead have, according to me deprived us of the true essence of life : STILL OF THE SPIRIT!

Meditation restores that, it turns you to focus on the inner you. When everything is quiet, the silence exposes the truth, and truth always sets free!!

For a few minutes in your day, stop everything, zone out of the physical and listen to the still of the spirit which exposes your truth!

Here's a meditation exercise for you : "am I experiencing all that I can everyday? Am I aligned to my purpose? Am I succeeding at living?"

This is a powerful tool for those of us seeking lasting, balanced Supersuccess ™ in this life!

Do remember to follow us on Twitter as @Supersuccess_O and on Facebook as 'Supersuccess Online' for daily inspiration and interaction!

Make Excellence your brand.

I've been doing a lot of research around the topic of excellence and one thing seems a conclusion: ITS NOT WHAT YOU SAY OR THINK, ITS ALL ABOUT WHAT YOU DO!!

In the entertainment industry, a lot of the jobs I get are through referrals, this means one person knows of the work you do and how you do it and informs another to give you a call!

See the real thing with succeeding in life is WHAT PEOPLE (those that matter anyway) KNOW ABOUT YOU!

When you build a brand of excellence you're laying an unbreakable foundation of your life! In whatever work you do, be the guy who always delivers the best on time! Make excellence your brand!

The word 'brand' comes from an ancient method of differentiating cattle by using hot iron to mark the leather of a cow so that its owner may be known by that 'brand' or 'sign'. What this said to me is that your brand is what or who people associate with you!

What do people think of when they look at you? Who do they connect you with?

That's your brand!!

KNOW THE BOSS

Once you meet the boss, that one encounter with Him, it does not just end there, there needs to be a constant relationship between you and the Boss!

Knowing the Boss means knowing His voice, and that comes from constant communication with Him! When you know the Boss, You know your rights and benefits!

If you don't remain in constant connection with the Boss, You stand a chance of losing that sound of His voice that is so crucial for your Supersuccess!

Do you know the Boss?

Thursday, April 7, 2011

MEET MY BOSS!!

A lot of people ask me this question often " Tumi how do you remain poised and positive when things are not working out?"
My answer : " know your boss! "

Analyse what the role of a boss is.

The boss is someone who employs, rewards and has authority.

Well with that said... Meet MY BOSS!

He fed His prophet Elijah by sending ravens to feed him IN A TIME OF FAMINE!
He is the source of earthly resources, he is the origin of all things.

He is above, beyond, over and higher than your earthly boss! See in a time of famine (or recession ), your earthly boss downscales. My Boss defies the odds and sends resources my way!

I am forever poised because I know that in between the contracts and the gigs when no money is coming in, there is a Boss who takes care of me! HE DOESN'T pay too bad as well!

His name is Jehova God!

Please meet my Boss..

GOD IS BOSS!

I find myself more often than not questioning the methods of life and generally how we as people live our lives from day to day! A question I find myself posing to me: Tumi, is this really it? Have you lived life and did so abundantly? After much consideration without fail, I always conclude: THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING HIGHER, THERE HAS TO BE A SOURCE OF THE RESOURCES THAT I NEED TO EXIST AND FLOURISH!

This is what inspired "GOD IS BOSS!"

He is the ultimate boss, the source of all that you need to be what He says you can!

What is a 'boss' ? Well I want us to look at it in the light of boss being the remunerator, the one who assigns duties and rewards, however, upon completion of the duty!

Feeling like there`s not enough to go around for all your desires to be fullfilled? Well... Meet the BOSS!

Stay tuned to this space as I introduce you to my boss: Jehova God!

He fed his servants in a time of scarcity of resources by sending ravens to feed them!

I want you to know Him!

You gotta know.. You know?

The Bible defines faith as " the evidence of things not seen " Hebrews 11.

What does this really mean? How does it relate to my everyday life?

Well the truth of the matter is that even the most optimistic of us have the down moments (not all motivational speakers will admit this!!).

Those times when your dream seems really far even though you are following through with all the action plans!

This is when faith comes into the picture!

YOU GOTTA KNOW!! YOU KNOW?

When you know that all things work out for your good, you stay firm even when you`re not sure on tomorrow! When you know that God is looking out for you, you don`t have to have a second opinion! When you know that God`s plan is to prosper you, you don`t need Tumi`s motivation to confirm it!! Yes I said it!

YOU GOTTA KNOW! Even in those silent times when many throw in the towel on their dreams.. You gotta know!

When you know that you`re royalty my friend, you don`t need external symbols for you to walk tall with a glowing smile! When you know you`re made in the image of God, you`re not given value by what you`re wearing today, but you give what you`re wearing it`s value!!

No this is not some poem recitation ( I actually typed this within five minutes when inspiration hit me!!)

You gotta know!

Maestro.

The power in forgiveness

Hello to all you Supersuccessful people! I know that you`re still making waves in 2011!

This past weekend on Y Connection I spoke on the POWER 0F FORGIVENESS.

You might be thinking what forgiveness has to do with Supersuccess... Well in actual fact it has almost everything to do with it! The reason is that unforgiveness in your heart breeds bitterness and bitterness repels success!

Christ teaches his desciples " Whenever you are to offer your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there at the altar and go reoncile with him. Then you can come offer your gift at the altar"

This story compelled me to speak on this as many of us are hoarding past hurts, dissapointments, failures and pain! This is causing us to be unable to maximise every moment, chance, oppotunity and dream that each one of us might have!

Forgiveness is TWO FOLDS:

1. Forgive others who have done you wrong! Sometimes they might not even deserve the forgiveness from you but because it is a SELF HEALING PROCESS, let them go.
2. Forgive yourself! We know that God promises to forgive all our sins the instant we ask for it from Him. Yet amazingly, alot of us are still walking around with past failures and self-condemning mindsets! After God has forgiven you, FORGIVE YOURSELF AND START ALL OVER AGAIN!!

FORGIVENESS OPENS DOORS THAT WERE CLOSED, NOT BY GOD, BUT BY OUR OWN BELITTLED MENTALILTY OF BEING CONTROLLED BY BITTERNESS!!

The fabulous Kinalma Bashman tells all.. Life and Supersuccess.

She`s talented, beautiful and outspoken! Former Lotto Lady Kinalma Bashman spoke to Supersuccess and told all! This is how it went:

1. From childhood to present day, tell us about Kinalma Bashman?

Well, Kinalma Bashman is an outspoken, carefree, decisive loyal in character 25 year old lady. Very goal driven! Originally from the Eastern Cape in port Elizabeth but has been residing in Joburg for the past five years. My mother was my first teacher, literally and figuratively! I left P.E at the beginning of 2006, two weeks before I was to start my last year towards a National Diploma in Journalism at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. I`ve always loved working and earning and never held just one job! This has been my life since I left Matric to date!

2. You`re in the entertainment industry professionaly, how do you maintain the balance between you daily schedule and your spirituality?

I grew up e Wesile (at the Wesley church) and my mom ngu mama we bhatyi! My knowledge of God was enlightened there, in Sunday school. However, as I grew older and had a little more understanding and opinions, I stopped attending there purely because of the apparel dictations. I looked around till I found my spiritual home at the Grace Bible church. As a professional, my work is contradictory to the fore! I freelance, which means I have a few jobs that dont always need me consistantly at the same time. This brings a lot of instability on the work front. I`ve learnt to do my best at a particular job, at a time and when it ends, move on. Because I live by faith, the instability of the entertainment industry has not dettered my continuing on this path. The financial snags have not lessened the drive nor the passion for what I do! I have a very supportive family and live with the knowledge that God will never lead you to where His grace will never protect you! I am found at almost every 9am Sunday service soaking up God`s word and teachings. I try very hard to keep them and live by them!

3. 2010 was undoubtedly a good year for S.A, your personal highlights?

2010 was a year and a half! I recieved one of the biggest jobs in my television presenting career: Hosting the National Lottery draws and a Lotto gameshow called "What if tonight is your night?". I also got a contract to be the voice of SABC Sports in all their English line-up broadcasts and continue to do that.
If I were to count all the job opportunities in this year alone, I`d never finish really!
I found love, I lost love. Formed much more friendships! Family bonds got stronger, so it was a great year!

4. What are you looking forward to in the new year, career and otherwise?

More laughter, love and happiness! More opprtunities, hopefully another great gig in front of the camera! More voice-over work and growth in general! I`ll be 26 soon and I only hope I`ll be blessed with more wisdom and a while longer on this earth to fullfill my purpose!

5. Supersuccess to you is?

What happens the instant one understands their strengths and weaknesses and how to work around them for advancement!

YOUNG, TALENTED AND READY TO TAKE OVER! Radio personality Motseki Mabuya speaks to Supersuccess.

  1. From childhood to present day, tell us about yourself.

Born in Qwaqwa (Eastern Free State). Second born from a family of four. Was raised by his grandmother until matric. The only thing that he knew was he was going to be a soccer star. In 2003 went to Jomo Cosmos and trialed for the youth development side but things dint work out for him. And Radio became his second love.
When I'm not on radio visits schools, churches, youth centers and prisons to deliver inspirational talks.
Through my work on radio and community involvement I have founded Motseki Mabuya Foundation
I'm also the MD of Moqhaka promotions and Entertainment. And the CEO of Eagle motivation company.
My motto: If it is impossible, let’s do it.

    2. You also do philanthropic work. Tell us more about the Motseki
    Mabuya Foundation?

We established the Foundation in 2008 as a vehicle of giving back to the society on behalf of my radio programmes. The foundation is also a tool for youth development,
We strive to become a beacon of hope in all our work by exceeding all expectations and reaching new frontiers.

    3. 2010 was undoubtedly a good year for the country, your personal highlights?

Being part of the 50th Anniversary of Sharpville Massacre celebrations, going back on radio was undoubtedly the best, stretching myself as an entrepreneur and of course the soccer world cup matches was definitely the height of our country.

    4. What are you looking forward to in the new year, career and otherwise?

I'm totally excited about 3 things: Launching of Tlhohonolofatso Motseki Mabuya as the motivational teacher.
And most importantly the official launch of Motseki Mabuya Foundation and lastly growing The Brand MOTSEKI.

    5. What, according to you, do Supersuccessful people know that
    ordinary folk don't?

Just one line: Supersuccessful people discuss ideas and ordinary folks discuss things and people.

    6. Your message to S.A?

We are living in the best time ever. A country with too many opportunities especially for the youth. And all I know is the world stand aside for the man who knows where he is going.
